Inscribed on the Roll of Louisville at the rate of 80 dollars - cents per annum, to commence on the 4th day of March, 1836 and ending 18 Augt 1839.

Declartion of Joel Sexton

The declaration of Joel Sexton, of the County of Green in the state of Indiana in order to claom for the Children of William and Leah Sexton dec the pension due said Leah at her decease towit: State of Indiana, Lawrence county ss} On this 7th day of February 1849 parsonally appeared before __ Samuel S. Sh_t a Justice of the peace in and for said county

Joel Sexton, of lawful age, who being duly sworn declares and says that , he is the son of WIlliam Sexton, a Revolutionary soldier who died in Whitley County in the state of Kentucky on the 31st day of December in the year 1829, or in the year 1830 and Leah Sexton his wife who died in Greene county in the State of Indiana, on the 18th day of August in the year 1839; and that, said William and Leah had children besides them who are __ as the following, who are now living towit: Jole Sexton, this affiant, James Sexton, Enoch Sexton, Jacob Sexton, Peggy Long, William Sexton, and Lemuel Sexton and further that he makes this declaration to obtain for such children the pension due to their said, mother, Leah Sexton, at her death. He also states that said Leah Sexton never married again after the deceas of said William Sexton. but died. the widow of said William __ the private of __ __. Joel Sexton. Declaration of Gustavus Clark

State of Indiana Lawrence County ss} I Gustavus Clark Clerk of Court Probate of said county, holder of __ in and for said county do hereby certify that satisfactory evidence has been exhibited _ said court at its November term A.D. 1848 that William Saxson late of the County of Whitely and State of Kentucky, was a pensioner of the United States for his service as a soldier of the Revolution, that he was a resident of the said county of Whitley and died in said conty on the 31st day of December in the year eighteen hundred and twenty nine, that he left a widow Leah Sexson and the floowing childre by his said widow towit: James Sexson, Enoch Sexson, Jacob Sexson, Peggy Long (wife of Robert Long) William Sexson, Samuel Sexson and Joel Sexson and the following grandchildren by their son Free Sexson, deceased Greenberry R. Sexson, William A. Sexson, James Sexson, Elizbeth Sexson, Peggy Sexson, Caroline Sexson and Polly Sexson; that said Leah Sexson survuved her said husband until the eight __ day of August eighteen hundred and thirty nine, when she also died at Greene county Indiana without having married __ _ death of hier said husband or wothout having any other children.
